Social media has been useful nowadays if you only use it in good manner. Facebook, specifically, has been an instrument to spread legitimate news and other videos or informations that needs to be seen by public. News awareness, viral videos--- whether it is for entertainment or help-seeking content. Many videos went viral in Facebook platform especially if it is very entertaining or relevant.
One Facebook user, Rufo Monroy, shared a video where he is talking to a guy in a red shirt. Upon talking, it turns out that the guy is a construction worker named Anthony Gamas who was walking for 3 days after their contractor didn't pay them for months. As seen in video, you can conclude that Anthony is exhausted because he have walked from Laguna to Tagaytay. Rufo, as a good samaritan, asked the poor guy if he already ate and answered him that he is not hungry, he just feel tired.
That afternoon, it happened that Rufo was riding his motorcycle and decided took a break to have something to drink when he noticed Anthony.
Though Anthony told Rufo he's not hungry, he bought him a Buko juice so that the old guy can have something because he has not eating for days. According to Anthony, he decided to leave the construction site that they are working for even he has no money in his pocket because he would rather go home with an empty pocket to see his family than to stay and work there not being payed.
Rufo shared the video of Manong Anthony to encourage someone to help him because he admitted that he also have no extra and all he can do is to give Anthony the 70 pesos that he can spend to ride a bus going home to Tagaytay. The video went viral and garnered different reactions form the netizens.
Some netizens got furious of the contractor, some of them feel pity for Anthony and some praised Rufo for helping the construction worker and giving him a small amount even he also has no extra with him. This video is an example that you can also help with an open arms whether it is big or small because for that person that you helped, it is a big thing for them.
Instances like this has circulated the internet for how many times. May the good hearts continue to bloom and help those who are in needs.
