Recently, two consecutive strong quakes--- with magnitudes 6.6 and 6.5 hit Mindanao leaving most of its cities a total destruction. Buildings, homes, schools, hospitals, and everything were destructed leaving the people of Mindanao nowhere to go but to their improvised temporary tents.
Local Governments, Philippine Red Cross, and some celebrities already extend their hands to the victims of the earthquake. Giving them necessary needs and relief goods.

Aside from them, one foreigner who has tye heart of a Filipino, makes his own donation drive for the victims. Basel Manadil, a blogger who owns “The Hungry Syrian Wanderer,” went to Caloocan to buy blankets and tarpaulins to be donated in Mindanao.
On his Facebook post, he captioned,
"Pinakyaw ko lahat ng panindang BLANKET AT TRAPAL dito sa Caloocan kahit sobra layo ng drive ko makamura lang dahil daang daang pamilya ang nais kong abutan ng tulong sa North Cotabato Mindanao. pero yeyemenin style ang mga blanket dito parehas sa Mall na double presyo.

Happy to help the vendors here by buying all their tinda and at the same time I feel so kilig because these items will be going to the people in Mindanao with my TLC. I was busy the past few days not posting anything about it. But action speaks louder than words and just sharing photos

LINDOL KA LANG, FILIPINO KAME HELP UNTIL IT HURTS - your Basel Boy
#mindanao #bangonmindanao #mahalkokayo @ Caloocan
Dont wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.

I just want to use this platform to help those who are in need and to send them prayers. If I can do it, you can too. Spread Kindness and Positivity"
Basel encouraged other people to help and send relief goods for the quake victims leaving his fans touched by his acts. Though he is a pure Syrian, he used to live in our country since he was 18 and it has been six years since he first stepped in the Philippines, and he now considers himself a Filipino by heart and choice but still a proud Syrian.

Many Filipinos praised the kind hearted man because of his pure deeds because he may not be a Filipino by blood, he is a Filipino by heart.
Thank you, Basel! Filipinos are so proud of you, mabuhay ka!
