It has been a trait for many Filipinos to give back the love and care their parents has as they grow older. Although it is not mandatory, many adults would still choose to return the favor and express their gratitude to their elders in different forms. For the Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia, it has been his goal to help his father and family out ever since joined the showbiz industry as a PBB housemate back in 2014.
In an interview a few months back, Joshua reminisced all the hardships and struggles he had went trough before finally making it big in show business. The 21 year old told that parents separated when he was just only one year old. His mother raised him until he was five, and then left him in the care of his uncle. But due to to financial difficulties he was eventually left with his father.
And after five years of hard work, Joshua was finally able to buy a house for his family. According the the young actor, the three storey town house is a gift to his father, Geo Garcia. An instagram account made by Joshua's fans shared a few images of the house's blessing that happened early this year. Although he did not disclose the full price of the unit, Garcia said that it is now completely paid and he was able to bounce back from all the recent expenses thanks to his recent endorsements.
Now that everything has been taken care of, Joshua said he plans to buy another house, this time, for himself.
"Next na yung dream house ko. Hindi ko pa alam kung saan ko itatayo pero sa ngayon, nasa ipon part ako, and plano ko, this year.
"Pag naka-ipon na 'ko, bago mag-end ng year, nakabili na ko ng bagong lupa."
Known for being an avid console and computer gamer, the young actor said he already had some ideas for his "dream house".
"Gusto ko magmukha siyang gaming house. Nandun na lahat—may bilyaran, may space para sa mga laruan, 'tapos isang kuwarto na isang buo."
