Fans and followers are wondering if it is the end of friendship between Kapamilya actress Bella Padilla and Dani Barretto. This was after discovering that the two had already unfollowed each other on the social meda platform Instagram.
Many are aware how close Dani is to the 28 year old actress. The two have spent so much time and experience together based on several pictures of Padilla on Barretto's social media account. Bela even became the "bridge" for Dani in meeting her now husband, Xavi Panlilio.
Netizens are now speculating that supposed rift between Dani and Bela stems from the alleged "support" that the latter showcased for fellow Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo. It can be recalled that Julia Barretto, Dani's sister, was accused of having a 3rd party involvement between the break up of Bea and her boyfriend, Gerald Anderson last July.
During the heat of the issue, Bela, who is also a close friend of Bea, was in attendance at a dinner get together, along with several Kapamilya star. The supposedly normal event after the ABS CBN trade launch turned into something different. This was after Angel Locsin posted the images on social media with a hashtag "#ParaKayB", indirectly suggesting that the gathering a show of support to Alonzo.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, Bela aired her side on what happened that night. According to the actress, she went to the dinner event to have a meal. She shared that she had a very busy schedule on that same day and had barely eaten anything. Bela also admitted that she was rather surprised that Bea showed up that night.
She also quashed the rumor that she unfollowed Julia because of the recent Bea-Gerald controversy. Bela stated that she unfollowed Dani's sister as a part of her Instagram detox and did it even before the quarrel started.
"So I just want to clarify—I didn’t unfollow Julia because I’m taking sides, because I honestly don’t even know the story of what’s happening to them."
Bela added that she also reached out Dani and her mother, Marjorie, shortly after the pictures of the get together was posted.
