Daniel Padilla is one of the few who can proudly say they purchased a house before they were 20 years old. To his mom, Carla Estrada, this property is even more unique because it's the first place she can call her own after 25 years of renting a lot of different homes.
The new place can be found on a 1,000sqm lot in an exclusive subdivision in Fairview, Quezon City. Besides him and his mom, the house is also shared to Daniel's siblings namely JC, Magui, and Lelay.
It has a sleek Mediterranean theme that can make entire family feel warm and relaxed, according to architect Marie-Louie Torres-de Leon.
Facade
The day he actually saw his finished home is, according to Daniel, the most thrilling time of his career. Most homeowners feel emotional when they see something grow on a once-empty lot.
Dodge Challenger
Daniel admitted that after seeing fellow Kapamilya Enrique Gil's Camaro, he purchased his dream car, a black Dodge Challenger.
Recreational Area
There is a basketball court and a covered billiards room in the recreational area.
Lanai
A revolving bench and three wooden benches are situated near the front door of the two-story home. This is the perfect place on a breezy and sunny day for entertaining guests.
Front Entrance
The main doors is made of double patio glass doors with wrought-iron details that were custom-made for this family home. The original plan was to use bronze glass panes but Carla opted for vibrant stained glass panel instead.
First Floor
The property's first floor has a living area, a large seating area for business meetings, a dining area, and an open kitchen.
Living Area
The living area is equipped with a Philux beige sala kit. There are wide doors and taupe and white-colored curtains behind the completely upholstered seats.
Carla specifically requested an elevated seating area in front of the living area. She can use this unique room to collaborate with clients or partners for business meetings. It is fitted with Home Depot black tufted seats.
Dining Area
The dining area is furnished with a beautiful and rustic Abubot wooden dining set. Since they have a large family, they often use the 10 seats around the long wooden table.
Kitchen
The archway of the kitchen was not part of its original design. Because Carla and Daniel wanted to add more bricks to the family home, however, a steel archway lined with stone cladding is added instead.
Carla chose to use mahogany wood in the kitchen . She thinks the reddish brown color makes the space feel cozy and comfortable.
Powder Room And Staircase
The developer designed a row of mosaic tiles to liven up the little powder room. Because the Queen Mother enjoys chandeliers, she placed one in this area as well.
Second Living Area
On the home's second floor there is another living and dining room. This is a personal and relaxed place to hang out, watch TV, and enjoy meals for Carla and her family.
Second Dining Area
A modern and contemporary seating collection is decorated in the second dining area. In this particular space, the family can have dinner, lunch, or quick meals.
Carla’s Bedroom
In her own paradise, Carla will feel loved, pampered, and well cared for. This bedroom has a four-poster bed, a completely upholstered armchair and a variety of comfortable seats.
Master Bathroom
It is a perfect place to put make-up thanks to the lighted vanity mirror and a red accent chair. The master bathroom also includes walk-in closet.
The master bathroom is situated on the other side of the vanity area and walk-in wardrobe. It has a shower area divided by a glass enclosure with a mosaic tile base, a corner whirlpool tub, and other high-end fittings.
Secret Door
This bookshelf filled with The Beatles memorabilia is actually a secret door that leads to Daniel’s bedroom. It also has toy figures of famous NBA stars such as Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant.
Only when you type the right security code will the secret door unlock. Nevertheless, he shares that his code is actually known to everyone in his house.
Daniel’s Bedroom
Daniel says his mother chose to have a house in the Mediterranean theme. He needed wood, bricks and other rustic materials for his own bedroom.
Daniel would prefer to share the room with JC, his younger brother, and his best friend. JC lies next to him or at the foot of the bed on the futon.
Entertainment Room
This entertainment room should have been Daniel's walk-in wardrobe. When he saw they were about to create a walk-in wardrobe, though, he asked the designer if instead it could be converted into an entertainment room.
He now sees it as a quiet place to hang out with his brother and their buddies and play video games.
