Kapamilya comedian Vice Ganda and Kuya Escort Ion Perez has been rumored to be a couple for sometime now after the latter's introduction to the noon time show "It's Showtime back September of last year, 2018. Despite of the numerous speculations about their relationship, neither Vice nor Ion has yet to come out clean and officially reveal the true score between them. However, what seems to started out as a joke and running gag in their program had its latest emotional twist yesterday, September 20.
It happened before the onset of the tv show's famous segment, Kapare Who, when the hosts encountered a delay after a few stage lights malfunctioned. Anne Curtis and Vhong Navarro interviewed Ion as they awaited for the technical problem to be fixed. They asked him what the problem was in which Kuya Escort unintentionally answered in a much louder tone of voice. Curtis then made fun of Perez's angry manner of speaking and asked if he would do the same if he was to say "I love you" to Vice who was also in the stage.
Not long after that, Vhong immediately joined in and, along with Anne, tried to convince both Ion and Vice to exchange those words of endearment to each other. To decrease the hesitation to the rumored couple, Navarro and Curtis told them to say it as if they were just pretending.
Ion goes first as he say the words "I love you" to Vice twice; first one in a form of a gentle whisper and the other in a shouting manner. On Vice's turn, the two locked eyes into each other as the comedian calmly said "I love you" to Perez. The moment immediately sent the live audience into a frenzy as they shout and rooted for what seemingly a rare genuine exchange between the two.
Things went even further emotionally shortly afterwards when Ion becomes teary eyed a few seconds later. Vice also started crying for some reason and was almost unable to face the camera. Anne and Vhong then tried to break the ice when they asked the the two why they started to cry in which Ion gave a meaningful reply:
"Ang saya ‘pag nakikita siyang masaya. Ang sarap makita na masaya ‘yung taong mahal mo."
The scene and moment, all together, was very well received by Vice fans and followers and viewers alike. Many are wishing for the true happiness of the Kapamilya comedian and his rumored boyfriend Ion.
