After their mini reunion in an undisclosed project last June of this year, fans and followers were once again treated when John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonze was spotted together in Makati last Saturday, September 21. Acorrding to source the former love team were in attendance to watch the stage adaptation of the 1982 critically acclaimed movie, Himala that was held at Power Mac Center Spotlight in Makati.
Noel Ferrer, veteran entertaintment columnist and talent manager from PEP shared the photos on social media. The 36 year old Cruz can be seen seating side by side with Alonzo as they watched and enjoyed play Himala: Isang Musikal. It was never confirmed though if John Lloyd came along together with 31 year old actress or separately.
The 1982 movie, which was then starred by the veteran actress Nora Aunor, and it's musical adaptation was both written by veteran screenplay writer Ricardo "Ricky" Lee. The shows was for the members of Lee's scriptwriting workshop in which Alonzo is currently a student. Based on the circumstances, it might be safe to assume that the actress was the one who invited John Lloyd to watch the play. Other celebrities that were spotted in event were Agot Isidro and Cherie Gil.
Because of the recent controversies involving the two, many cannot help but wonder if Cruz and Alonzo being together recently was just a coincidence given the fact that both their individual love lives seemed to fell apart at almost the same time. It was in 2016 when the love team was rumored to be romantically involved with each other which they later denied.
John Lloyd and Bea then went to pursue a relationship with different people later that year; Cruz to Ellen Adarna in which he now has a one year old son, Modesto. Alonzo on the other hand got back together with former flame, Gerald Anderson. Fast forward to 2019, several sources suggested recently that John Lloyd has already broken up with Ellen in August while Bea called it quits with Anderson in one of the most talked about split after the latter linked to his leading lady, Julia Barreto.
