Everyone goes through an awkward stage during puberty when everything just feels confusing, including our appearance.

But like a true fairy tale story, some of us emerge through that stage looking more like a beautiful swan than the ugly duckling we once were.

If you have been spending time on the Internet lately, then you probably know of the “puberty challenge”.

Netizens are abuzz over the dramatic physical transformation of an ordinary-looking girl who metamorphosed into a stunning lady after she hit puberty.

Meet Aleksis Corbi, who is now taking the internet by storm with her amazing transformation which shocked and inspired a lot of netizens. She is a tourism student from De La Salle University, Dasmarinas. She has the dream of becoming a flight attendant someday.

Corbi, who recently became a social media sensation, has gained popularity after sharing her before-and-after puberty photos on Facebook. The post has caught the interest of netizens and has amassed over 52,000 shares and more than 47,000 reactions.

The first set of photos were typical of a young girl about the age of 7.

As you scroll further, you may notice how her look has transitioned into what we may call the “caterpillar stage”; where a seemingly confident version of her sporting nice straight bangs can be evidently seen.

Then on with her photo in SG where she was 13 years old and a 2nd-year high school student. Here we can actually see how she’ll look like when she becomes an adult.

Three years later, it’s noticeable that she has gotten a lighter complexion.

And this is Alexis now. We’ve seen how she transitioned from a little, meek, and adorable caterpillar to a confident, beautiful, and a fully-grown butterfly.

The Coverage reports that Aleksis was interviewed by men’s magazine FHM Philippines last year. In it, the famous netizen gave a piece of advice to everyone who feels insecure:

“Don’t forget to look back and never be ashamed of where you came from. To me, being confident means being comfortable with yourself, and in order to be comfortable with yourself, you need to love yourself.”
