Speaking of this, one inspiring story of a Barangay Tanod who sent himself to school went viral.
This inspiring 23-year-old man was Janryl Judilla Tan who previously gained attentions of the netizens after sharing his core moving life story on Facebook. According to the post, Janryl was a working student who was able to graduate in college with honors while serving as a Barangay Tanod in their area.

On another reports, Janryl was also one of the Civil Engineering students who took board exams this year and was able to make it to the licensure. Yes, you read it right! He is now a Civil Engineering board passer!
His story went viral last March, year of the present because of his inspiring story.
He was a fresh graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering earlier this year who also took the board exams after.
If he was able to study while being a Barangay Tanod, he also made it possible to review his lessons in getting ready for the board exams.
Judilla made it all happen with his 6,000 salary per month for being an SK treasurer and tanod.
Even he came from a broken family, he did not take it as hindrance to finish his studies.
According to a source, although Janryl is more than happy because of what he has achieved, there's also a part of him that's sad because he will soon leave his "tanod life."
The netizens praised the hardworking young man and shared their "congratulations" message to the newly licensed Engineer.
Janryl's story is very inspirational and also an eye opener to many because they can take an ample time to reflect on the story and realize things that they should.
