There is an old saying, "Never judge a book by its cover" and this always goes especially in customer service, where a customer's appearance might be deceiving. In connection with this, Megastar Sharon Cuneta experienced it first hand during her Hong Kong vacation.
In her interview at the Tonight With Boy Abunda, Sharon shared the story that still irritates her to this time. During her vacation in Hong Kong, she visited one of the Cartier's branches. Cartier is a high-end boutique for French watches and expensive jewelries.
"My outfit was very simple, shirt lang and jeans. I said, ‘Excuse me. I’m not finished yet!’ I was so angry, there was another sales rep who was very nice, and I ended up buying things I didn’t really need because I was so angry. Ako, galit ako 'pag Pilipino, inaapi."

Apparently, because of her simple outfit, the sales representative was rude of her, but she did not let the staff get away with the discrimination so she ended up buying things she didn't really need.
Furthermore, Sharon is not the only celebrity who has experienced this kind of situation. Recently, Asia's Song Bird Regine Velasquez also recalled the story of how she got snubbed by the staffs of Louis Vitton branch in New York.
Velasquez said that she feels humiliated and embarassed about what happened. A few days after the incident circulated online, the company sent flowers to Regine as an amendment.
