On 2005, veteran actress Judy Ann Santos legally adopted her daughter, Yohan right after her 26th birthday.
During her interview, Judy Ann proudly shares the story of her and Yohan to the press.
"Early on pa lang naman nung relationship namin ni Yohan, nung kaming dalawa pa lang, alam ko nang nakaka-intindi na siya, sinabi ko na sa kaniya, pinaintindi ko na sa kaniya. I explained to her. Kasi ayoko na magkaroon siya ng grudge na itinago ko sa kaniya," she said.
She also told the press that she explained it to her daughter before anyone else because she fears that someone will tell it to her daughter in a wrong way causing her daughter to misinterpret the message and become the reason of resentment.
"Ngayon mas napapag-usapan na namin nang maayos, nang kumportable sa kaniya, naipatindi ko sa kaniya na 'being adopted is not a bad thing' it is actually the most beautiful word in the world. Simply because, I adopt you because I want you to be my family. I chose you.'
"Sabi ko sa kaniya, you were the first one who came before dad. So I was a mother first, before a wife so tandaan mo yan. So nung una medyo hindi niya pa makuha pero eventually naintindihan na niya," she added.
The same year, she met Ryan Agoncillo who happened to be her co-star in fantaserye, Krystala. 4 years later, the two got married and became the parents of 3.
This year, the multiawarded actress is back in teleserye in Kapamilya Primetime, Starla.
